Hungry For Change?

PLEASE watch the clip at this site. PLEASE educate yourself about this subject. I can't think of anything more important for me to share via this blog than this information!

If folks in the US were actually aware of where our food comes from and what may be in it, we might not need to be debating expensive health care! (And it will remain expensive, whether the government "provides it" - via taxes - or it stays the way it is now.)

Did you know that the majority of diseases treated in the US - raising healthcare costs ever higher - are PREVENTABLE, simply by maintaining a healthy diet?

But, how healthy is YOUR food really?

Thanks Stasia. And thanks for turning me on to sparkpeople. I've been eating almost no processed food since I got serious on April 27. My cholesterol is down to 187, my ratios are "perfect" and I feel great!
Kudos to you!

The importance of a healthy diet simply cannot be overstated, in my opinion. Thanks for bringing attention to this subject! I look forward to watching the video clip.

Stasia, I agree! I have to watch that clip. Oh, and I think doggie advice is the best! (and I love Pidgeon Pie's name and looks, that's really cute!)

Most of that site I really like - but they are associated with the Humane Society of the United States, so I can't support them. HSUS is trying to eliminate animal ownership, supporting most of the current local legislation restricting dog ownership or requiring spay and neuter. Under the guise of caring and concern they are committed to preventing people from keeping pets or farm animals. I couldn't find a way to contact the site to make comments there.
