A Single Life
Some would say one life isn't important.
You'll toughen up soon enough on a farm.
Let nature take its course.
Too busy to worry.
I say,
"Sentient beings are numberless. I vow to save them all."*
Welcome, little orphan Annie - two weeks old, two hour feedings, six ounces light and a few inches long. I'll do my best for you.
May you be happy. May you be peaceful. May you be free from pain and suffering.**
May we all.
*The first vow of a Bodhisattva.
**In memory of my father, who left this incarnation Tuesday.

Stasia,
sending my sympathies in your loss.
and sending hopes for Annies bright kitty future.
I'm so sorry. It's awful to lose a parent.
I hope Annie gets stronger quickly! She's very cute.
You are such a star. I hope little Annie makes it, but I know that, in your care, she's getting the very best chance a kitty could have.
